Waterford Brothers Jailed for Blackmail Bid

Two Waterford brothers have been given jail sentences for attempting to blackmail a well-known priest with abuse allegations.

Fr Michael Kennedy, who is parish priest at Dunhill, was blackmailed by Rossa and James Donovan from Dungarvan.

30-year-old Rossa Donovan, who has 93 previous convictions, was given a three-and-a-half year jail sentence.

His brother James, who has 38 previous convictions, was given a two-year sentence.
